When salmon is frozen, the freezing process kills parasites. If you buy salmon at the store, which was often frozen, so it all depends on whether it was frozen. We put our salmon in the freezer and when we want sushi, they get out, then cut and never get sick. Therefore, I believe, not fun. Just be sure to manage it properly!
